Librarian Invasion: Craigmore Creations at ALA Midwinter!

by craigmorecreations on January 23, 2013

The 2013 ALA Midwinter Meeting starts this Friday in Seattle, which means the Puget Sound is bracing for something it hasn’t seen in over 5 years: LIBRARIANS EVERYWHERE!

Yes, for the first time since 2007, literally thousands of librarians will invade the Pacific Northwest to gather and discuss the key issues, trends, and honors of their field, and heck, discover a new author or publisher along the way.

Five years is a long time to go without a librarian invasion in your neck of the woods. Needless to say, we’re pretty excited about this one!

From January 25 to 29, Craigmore Creations is proud to be exhibiting for the first time at the ALA Midwinter Meeting, where we will showcase our current catalog, offer a sneak peak of two upcoming children’s titles—Tool. Time. Twist. and Flower By Numbers—and give librarians from all over the country a chance to meet some of the people that make our publishing company go. Stop by booth #537 to pay us a visit!

And, as always, we’re excited to give away some prizes!

On Friday, January 25, we’ll be raffling off a “Time Travel Prize Package” for young readers. This package includes two fun and educational graphic novels—Terra Tempo: The Four Corners of Timeand the first in the series Ice Age Cataclysm!—a cuddly saber-toothed cat plush, a pack of postcards, a coloring book, and a wild Meow! t-shirt.

On Monday, January 28, we’ll be raffling off a “Wild and Wooly Prize Package” for reluctant readers, age four to ten. This prize package contains signed copies of our children’s books Right Where You Are Now and Bronto, our young adult novel Eliza’s Journal and the two graphic novels from the Terra Tempo series. The prize package also includes a cuddly, saber-toothed cat plush and a limited edition linen paper print signed by a local artist. Fittingly, several books in this collection are rooted in the landscape of the Pacific Northwest!

Hope to see you there!
