Terra Tempo author and naturalist David Shapiro explores the Missoula Floods and the great cataclysms of the end of the ice age.
Using slides from his book, Terra Tempo: Ice Age Cataclysm!, David will compare the story to real-life photos and show evidence of the happenings. He will talk about the ice age animals and the flood path and its effect on the Pacific NW landscape. Sign up now.

Student Writing Workshop with
Author David Shapiro 

We believe that all kids have a story to tell, and we want to help them write it! Author and naturalist David Shapiro will instruct students in the art of writing a story. 

David will help kids unleash their imaginations onto the blank page and discover the fun that can come from writing. The skills developed through creative writing workshops improve literacy abilities, encourage creative thinking, and build self-esteem. This beginning writers workshop focuses on the nuts and bolts of how to write stories. 

Comic Book or Graphic Novel Workshop
with Illustrator Christopher Herndon 

Christopher Herndon is available to teach comic book and graphic novel workshops to kids and adults. Chris is an artist, monster maker, musician, and more. He is the creator of two comic book series and illustrator for numerous album covers, games, and magazines. He has undertaken the gargantuan task of illustrating the Terra Tempo series. Previous works include Living with Zombies and Blunderbuss Wanderlust
